Diary of the Soul

“Gates” Art Space, Kaliningrad

“Diary of the Soul” exhibition, 2019 — photo 7

About the exhibition

My large solo exhibition of contemporary art, where I showed most of my Abstract Expressionism and Abstract Symbolism paintings and half of my Graphics of Imagery works.

I prepared an art object that tells the viewer one of my stories and invites them to believe in their own dreams!

I also presented my art video, which I both acted in and directed.

But the highlight of the exhibition was a new art project that brings contemporary art together with augmented reality: my paintings come alive in motion, enriched with atmosphere, mood and “breath”…

Especially for the exhibition we developed ArtBreath, an augmented reality app available on Google Play.

The app is a visual companion to the paintings, a way to immerse yourself more deeply in the world of my imagination…

How it works: install ArtBreath from Google Play, open the app and point your phone at a painting.*

*The project covers paintings on canvas in the Abstract Expressionism and Abstract Symbolism genres.

The exhibition took place in an ancient historic building that has kept its mysterious atmosphere — the Sackheim Gate (German: Sackheimer Tor), home of the “Gates” Art Space, from 12 to 25 March 2019.
