Terms of Sale

How we sell original works: prices, collection and delivery, payment and your right to cancel.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

The works on this website are sold by Anastasiia Kalinovskaia (artist name Anastasia Kalinovskaya), a sole trader trading as In stARTime ("we", "us").

Address: Flat 6, 19 Comely Bank Road, Stockbridge, Edinburgh EH4 1DS, United Kingdom

Email: art@kalinovskaya.life

Phone: +44 7547 812640

We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our prices.

2. These terms

These terms apply when you buy an original work through this website as a consumer. Please read them before you pay. We'll also email you a copy when we confirm your order.

3. The works

Each work is an original and exists in a single copy. It is signed front and back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Dimensions are given to the nearest centimetre. Colours on screen may differ slightly from the work itself, and works made with natural materials such as amber, stones or gold leaf vary in texture and shine.

4. Prices, collection and delivery

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). The price of a work includes the certificate of authenticity. It does not include delivery.

You can collect the work free of charge in Edinburgh, at a time and place we agree.

If you prefer, we deliver within the UK for an extra charge. Delivery is insured for the full value of the work. Once we have your delivery address, we email you the cost and a separate secure link to pay for it; where the delivery charge for a work is shown on its page, that charge applies. If you don't accept the delivery cost, you can collect the work instead or cancel the order at no cost to you.

Delivery outside the UK is available on request. Please write to us before paying: we'll tell you the cost first. Import duties, taxes and customs fees in the destination country are paid by you. If you pay without asking us first and don't accept the delivery quote, you can cancel the order at no cost to you.

If we've made an obvious mistake in a price, we'll tell you, and you can choose to cancel the order at no cost to you.

5. How to buy

  1. On the work's page, press "Buy now". Monzo Bank's secure payment page for that work opens. The payee is shown as Anastasiia Kalinovskaia trading as In stARTime. Paying there places your order with an obligation to pay.
  2. Pay by card or by UK bank transfer, as offered on that page.
  3. Email us at art@kalinovskaya.life with your name and phone number, quoting the payment reference, and tell us whether you'll collect the work or want it delivered (with your delivery address). Monzo does not pass these details to us.
  4. Within one working day of receiving them, we'll email you to confirm your order and either arrange collection or quote delivery. The contract between us is formed when we send that confirmation.

Each payment link is single-use. If the payment page shows that it has already been paid, the work has been sold and no payment will be taken. If a work turns out to be unavailable after you have paid, we'll tell you and repay you in full within 14 days.

If we haven't heard from you and can't reach you within 14 days of your payment, we'll repay it in full.

Before paying, please check the amount and reference on the Monzo page. If anything looks wrong, don't pay and contact us; if you've paid by mistake, tell us and we'll repay you. The contract is concluded in English. We keep a record of your purchase; it isn't available online, but we email you a copy of these terms with your order confirmation.

6. Payment

Payment is taken on Monzo Bank's payment page. Card payments on that page are processed by Stripe; bank transfers are made from your own bank's app or website. We never see or store your card or bank login details.

If you choose delivery, it is paid by a second payment link, which we send with the delivery quote.

The work remains ours until we've received full payment for it.

7. Collection and delivery

Collection: when we confirm your order, we offer you a time and place in Edinburgh within 30 days of your payment. The work is your responsibility from the moment you (or someone you've named) collect it.

Delivery: when we confirm your order, we agree a delivery date with you. Unless we agree a different date, we'll deliver within 30 days of receiving your delivery payment. Every delivery is insured for the full value of the work. The work is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered to you or to someone you've named.

If the work arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours, with photos of the work and the packaging, and keep the packaging. This helps with the insurance claim. It does not limit your legal rights.

8. Your right to cancel

You can cancel your order at any time before you receive the work, and within 14 days from the day you (or someone you've named) collect or receive it, without giving a reason. To cancel, email art@kalinovskaya.life or write to the address above; you can use the model cancellation form on our Delivery & cancellation page, but you don't have to.

If you cancel after receiving the work, you send it back at your own expense within 14 days of telling us: you pay for packing and for insured delivery to us, or you bring it to us in Edinburgh by arrangement. Large works can't go by ordinary post; insured courier usually costs about as much as delivering them. The work must come back undamaged and in the condition you received it: pack it carefully, ideally in its original packaging, and insure it for its full value.

We repay the price of the work and the standard delivery charge you paid to receive it within 14 days of receiving the work back, or of receiving evidence that you've sent it, whichever is earlier; if you cancel before receiving the work, within 14 days of your cancellation. The cost of sending the work back is not repaid. We pay back to the card or account you paid from. If the work has been damaged or handled more than was needed to inspect it, we may reduce the amount by its loss in value, up to the full price.

The right to cancel does not apply to works made to your own specification (commissions).

9. If something is wrong with the work

The law requires the work to be as described and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to reject it and get a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us and we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

Buying a work gives you ownership of the physical work. The copyright stays with the artist. The artist may show images of the work in her portfolio, on social media and in exhibition materials. You're welcome to photograph the work in your home and share the photos with credit to the artist.

11. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer. We sell to individuals for private use and are not responsible for business losses.

12. Your personal data

We use your details only to handle your order and enquiries, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Questions and complaints

Please email art@kalinovskaya.life. We aim to reply within one working day.

14. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. You can bring proceedings in the Scottish courts. If you live in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version shown when you paid applies to your purchase.

The Russian version of these terms is a translation. If they differ, the English version applies.
